There are so many variables to consider when propping a boat that knowing whether or not you’re getting the perfect prop for your setup can be difficult. At PropMD we never want our customers to feel they are stuck with an expensive prop that isn’t performing right. That’s why, for years we have offered our Propeller Exchange Program for Stainless Steel Outboard / Sterndrive Props. We are excited to announce that we now have an exchange program for our Inboard Wake / Ski Props as well! Please read below for more details

Free Stainless Steel Pitch Exchange Program

This wonderful program allows a boater to do a sea trial with one of our propellers to see if it fits their needs. Once you’ve run the prop, if you feel you need an exchange, contact us. We will go over your performance results and use that data to further dial you in. We will make a new recommendation and exchange the original prop you purchased for the new recommendations. No Exchange Fee! No Restocking Fee!

Dialing in a prop can be quite tricky, even for experienced prop experts like us. Help us out by having the following information ready when calling to do an exchange:

WOT = Wide Open Throttle

  • RPM @ WOT of Original Prop
  • RPM @ WOT of TESTED Prop
  • MPH @ WOT of Original Prop
  • MPH @ WOT of TESTED Prop
  • Time to Plane
  • Splash line on Hull  (While on Plane)
  • Overall Performance Goals-(speed-planning time-Fuel efficiency)

PLEASE TEST ALL PROPS UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS AND LOAD

We built this program because we want to offer our customer the absolute best customer service we possibly can. Our pitch exchange policy operates under a system of mutual respect. Given this, we reserve the right to deny/revoke this policy if we think it is being abused or if ANY of the stipulations outlined below are not met.

  • PropMD Must be notified of intent to exchange within 15 days of customer’s receipt of the propeller. This can be done by phone call OR E-mail.
  • Propellers must be returned in a timely fashion.
  • Propeller must be in the original box.
  • Propeller and box must in new condition
  • This policy does NOT apply to used, special order, aluminum or inboard propellers.
  • This policy Stainless Steel propellers only.
  • The customer will return the propeller via shipping method of their choice.
  • The customer is responsible for all postage.
    • This includes postage to return prop to Prop MD
    • This includes postage to have new prop shipped to customer
  • We accept no responsibility for damage to the propeller during return shipment. If you feel it is necessary please purchase insurance.
  • New propellers will be shipped out after inspection of the exchanged propeller is complete and new condition of the prop and packaging has been verified.
  • Customer is responsible for any and all associated price differences that may be present due to exchanging between different models, brands, blade count, etc.
  • Our EXCHANGE policy is ONLY FOR propellers returned in NEW condition. All others will be refused, and can be returned to the customer at their expense.
  • Standard return shipping rates apply to new propeller shipments.

Inboard Wake/Ski Prop Exchange Program

Our Inboard Wake/Ski Prop Exchange is designed to make sure that you can have peace of mind when buying a new prop. Maybe you want to try something new. You won’t have to think “What if I don’t like it?” or “What if this isn’t the right one?”

No More What Ifs

For $50 you  know that if the prop you ordered isn’t quite right, you can exchange it. Not only that, but you’ll have access to our full team of prop experts to make sure it’s the perfect fit.

How It Works

Think of this exchange program as Prop Insurance. Add the policy to your cart with your new prop order, check out, and wait. If everything goes according to plan, you’ll have your new prop in a matter of days, and be on the water loving life. If the performance isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, though NO WORRIES. You have Prop Insurance!

Prop Insurance is good for a single exchange. If you desire to have the same flexibility with your second prop you may purchase insurance at the time of the exchange.

Each purchase of Prop Insurance is $50.00

Prop Insurance can be purchased and applied retroactively to any Wake / Ski Inboard prop purchase within 30 days of propeller delivery.
